About Us

The Center for Entrepreneurship and New Business Design at ASU's W. P. Carey School of Business catalyzes an international entrepreneurial ecosystem by mobilizing different perspectives. We strive to instigate the exchange of new business value in a way that includes and inspires a brighter future.

By partnering closely with the ASU community and industry professionals, the center builds a culture where students, faculty, staff, and alumni actively engage with the business of entrepreneurship. We provide resources and an encouraging environment where aspiring entrepreneurs can learn from failures and try again. Students learn to foster creativity, grit, and entrepreneurial competencies through experiential learning and networking opportunities.

Our framework for accessible entrepreneurship

We developed a composable entrepreneurship framework that focuses on human-centered action, emphasizing individual behaviors, democratizing access to entrepreneurship, and using staged scientific processes to help validate an idea.

This framework bridges the gap between an individual entrepreneur's or a team's capabilities and what gets built, validated, and scaled. By providing flexible structures and real-world experiences, we enable future entrepreneurs to learn to continuously adapt. With our guidance and dynamic pathways, you'll decide how to deliver value to your audience and whether to build a side hustle, small to medium-sized business, or a new venture.

The center empowers individuals to develop entrepreneurial competencies, such as competitive analysis, opportunity sensing, and project management. Ultimately, the composable entrepreneurship framework allows us to increase entrepreneurial action and engagement among the next generation and improve venture outcomes.
